Rafael Bellon, who is from Sao Paulo, Brazil, scored four goals as the Riverland men’s soccer team completed a weekend sweep over Hibbing when they came up with an 8-3 win at Owatonna Saturday.
The Blue Devils (2-0 overall) scored six goals in the second half to put the game away.
“We were slow, sloppy, not focused and tired in the first half,” RCC head coach Soner Dogan said. “During half time I told my players ‘good teams get together and fight together, support each other and win together. If we want to win today we need to forget about the first half and play our game with positive attitudes.’ My players responded well and won the game.”
RCC rattled off 41 shots in the win.
Diego Luz scored two goals for RCC, while Corey Anderson and Anderson Sigueida each scored once.
