"We played well and finally started hitting some shots," Riverland coach Suzy Hebrink said. "Our defense in the first half was good and we shot a decent percentage from the outside. Overall, it was a balanced scoring that gave us the win."
Krista Viehauser led the way for the Lady Devils with a game-high 20 points. Brooke Rosenstiel, Gretchen Hebrink, and Mandy May were also in double figures for Riverland.
Hebrink hit a couple of treys and led the team with nine assists. May also connected from the outside and added five assists in the win.
"We led by as much as 25 points in the second half, but then it got a little sloppy at the end and they closed the gap," coach Hebrink said. "It was nice to get a home win and get everybody moving out on the floor. We also did a good job of taking care of the ball and only had 16 turnovers."
