The Kansas City Royals will be conducting a Major League Baseball tryout camp at Dick Seltz Field on Tuesday, June 23.
The tryout at the Riverland Community College Campus is open to all serious ballplayers, high school age or over. The try-out will begin with registration at 8 a.m., followed by the workout at 9 a.m.
All players will need to bring baseball gear (gloves, cleats, workout clothes, and hat). All players under 18 years of age will need a permission slip signed prior to the event by their legal guardian. American Legion players should have written approval from their legion coach.
This event will be coordinated by Riverland baseball coach Scott Koenigs, who is also a scout for the Royals.
