The Riverland baseball team had two players honored as player of the week for the MCCC Southern Division recently.

Kyle Starkey, an outfielder from Rapid City, was selected player of the week, and Brian Voigt of Southland was selected pitcher of the week.

Voigt pitched a no-hitter in a win against Hibbing and Starkey batted .455 last week with two doubles and 7 RBIs. Voigt is 2-0 on the season in 14 innings with nine strikeouts and a 0.000 ERA.

Starkey leads the MCCC South with a .456 batting average and he has 19 RBIs for the Blue Devils, who are 20-7 overall and are ranked No. 11 in the nation.
