David completed his 23rd year at Riverland Community College and overall his 34th hear as a head coach in some capacity since 1977. At Riverland, Lillemon began his coaching career in the fall of 1987. He just completed his third year at the helm with the softball program (three state appearances and 4th in the state twice, 3rd in the Region this spring), and his 14th year as the men's and women's golf coach. Lillemon will step down from all coaching responsibilities this fall and continue as men's and women's athletic director. He will also teach in the Math and Physical Education departments. In his tenure at Riverland, he coached football for three years (1987-1989), baseball for nine years (1987-95), the men's basketball team for 16 years (1987-2003), golf for 14 years ( 1995-2009), and softball for three years (2007-2009). Lillemon received his BS in 1978 from Minot State University (North Dakota) and his Master of Education degree from Mankato State University in 1984.
