Program Transfer Guides
Human Services
The human services transfer plan prepares graduates to transfer to a four-year college by completing all general education requirements. Most graduates enter social work, education, or social science related programs. The Human Services program provides a core curriculum of special courses, including internship experiences that help students in learning helping skills. Students are exposed to different types of programs that assist people in their personal/interpersonal development. Admission requirements include an interview with the program coordinator and meeting academic and health requirements. A total of 64 semester credits and a 2.0 cumulative grade point average are required for the A.A. Degree. Students can also complete the A.S. Degree requirements with additional course work. Students are encouraged to work closely with the counseling department to ensure that coursework fulfills degree requirements. |
