Suzy Hebrink

Suzy just finished her 15th year as Women's Basketball Coach. In the last 5out of 6 seasons the Lady Blue Devils have averaged 16 wins, including a school record 23 win season in 2009 and state and regional finalists. Along with team accomplishments, numerous individual player awards have been received. Twelve All MCAC Southern Division awards, (13) All State, (9) All Region XIII A and (3) NJCAA All Americans (Anna Hebrink, 2009; Krista Veihauser, 2011 and Rebecca Aase, 2013)
 
Hebrink is a proven winner and has brought stability and competitiveness to the Blue Devil Women's program. She is known for player development and has moved several on to four year programs with athletic scholarship awards. Hebrink has her BA and MA from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in Physical Education. Suzy lives in Austin with her husband James. They have seven children and one grandchild.

Ryan Wiechmann

Ryan Wiechmann is starting his 3rd season as the assistant coach with the Lady Blue Devils with Head Coach Suzy Hebrink.  “I’m excited to be back coaching with Coach Hebrink. Suzy is dedicated to the individual student athlete, and demands daily improvement.”  Ryan became the women’s assistant coach in 2010 after beginning his coaching career as the Riverland Men's Assistant Coach.  He will again assist both programs this season. "Ryan brings commitment to both Blue Devil Basketball programs." Says, Hebrink. "His dedication to detail helps fuel individual and team improvement." Ryan also works for the Austin Public School System. He lives in Austin, and is married to his wife, Nicole.

 

 

Anna Hebrink

Anna Hebrink

Anna is assisting the Blue Devils for her second season, after completing her playing career at Bemidji State University as a full basketball scholarship recipient. As a BSU Beaver, Hebrink was a two year starter where she led the team in steals and assists. As a former Blue Devil and NJCAA All- American, Hebrink helped lead her team to 22 and 23 win seasons and MCAC conference, State and Region XIII , second place finishes. During those two seasons, Anna set the Riverland women's college record for career assists (332) and 3 pt field goals made (152) along with tallying 943 points and 123 steals in her two year performance. "Anna brings a wealth of playing experience to our program.
