Millner Joins Music Faculty

The Riverland Music Department is pleased to announce the addition of Chris Millner to its faculty. Mr. Millner has over 25 years of teaching experience in guitar, having taught at the University of Southern California, and California State Dominguez Hills. At Riverland He will be teaching applied guitar lessons in Austin and at the Owatonna Center.
Chris recently relocated from Los Angeles, and brings experience in the entertainment industry with him. He continues to serve as an industry consultant to organizations such as Minnesota Public Radio, the William Morris Agency, Video Games Live, and the American Federation of Musicians.
His consulting jobs include mediation and negotiation of deals for music produced for and licensed into motion pictures, television programs, theme parks, videogames and multimedia projects worldwide. He works with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers dealing with issues such as internet streaming, digital encoding, and copyright infringement.
Mr. Millner holds degrees in guitar performance from Wichita State University (B.A.), the Berklee College of Music (diploma), and a masters degree in studio guitar from the University of Southern California.
