Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
The EMT-Basic course is the base training for most ambulance personnel. The topics covered include anatomy, airway management, patient assessment, medical emergencies, trauma, pediatric and geriatric emergencies, ambulance operations and many other skills. First Responder Training
The First Resonder course fulfills POST Board requirement for Emergency First Responder. The topics covered include: First aid, CPR, Triage and use of emergency medical equipment. Upon successful completion, partipants become state certified as a First Responder and are CPR qualified. The online/blended class will begin on November 21 and end on Dec. 19. Trained Medication Aide
This 48 hour course is designed to train unlicensed personnel to administer medications in a variety of health care settings. It includes the study of legal requirements concerning drugs and drug administration. General information about medications, terminology related to medication administration and use of reference sources will be studied. Students will learn actions, usual dose, toxic symptoms and special considerations of a variety of drugs. The course is designed to meet the curriculum standards established by the MN Board of Nursing for the training required to become a Trained Medication Aide (TMA). You can choose either location for training. Classes meet on Monday, Wednesday and Fridays of the listed dates. Cost for this course: $360.00 Please call for a registration form.

Trained Medication Aide Refresher
This four-hour course is designed for Nursing Assistants who hold a certificate in Medication Administration for Unlicensed Personnel and are currently working as a Trained Mediation Aide. Participants will be updated on current commonly prescribed LTC medications. This is a wonderful refresher for those TMAs who have not attended a program for one year or more. Trade & Industry
Power Limited Technician
Course objectives: Wiring methods, grounding, transformers, overcurrent protection and related topics. Installation methods, separation from power, fireproofing, Ohm's Law, meter operation, systems theory. Each class will consist of NEC related material as required by MN Statues and Rules as well as industry related information. PLT Technicians are required to have 16 hours of continuing education every two years. As the transition from 8 hours to 16 hours takes place, we will be offering the training in two separate days. Day One will meet the requirements for anyone needing only 8 hours. Day One and Two together will meet the requirements for those needing to complete 16 hours of continuing education. Please check with your Electrical Licensing Board for your required continuing education. Cost for the course is $160 or $320 for two-day plus materials.
