Power Limited Technician

Course objectives: Wiring methods, grounding, transformers, overcurrent protection and related topics. Installation methods, separation from power, fireproofing, Ohm's Law, meter operation, systems theory. Each class will consist of NEC related material as required by MN Statues and Rules as well as industry related information. PLT Technicians are required to have 16 hours of continuing education every two years. As the transition from 8 hours to 16 hours takes place, we will be offering the training in two separate days. Day One will meet the requirements for anyone needing only 8 hours. Day One and Two together will meet the requirements for those needing to complete 16 hours of continuing education. Please check with your Electrical Licensing Board for your required continuing education. Cost for the course is $160 or $320 for two-day plus materials.
