Placement & Graduate Services
The College views job placement as an important part of the educational process. Though students must assume the main responsibility for achieving their employment goals, Riverland faculty and placement staff is available to provide assistance and support. The College emphasizes the need for students to develop the knowledge, technical skills, communication abilities, and job search techniques needed to be successful in the job market.
Employment search support services available to all students include:
- Employment search classes
- A system that informs available students and graduates about current job opportunities
- One-to-one support for developing and improving job search skills
- Access to placement statistics, career information, and job search reference material to assist students with career and employment plans
- Access to the Internet for job search and career information
- Access to weekly publications of classified ads via the College library
- Access to employment search reference material
The placement office is located in the Austin West Campus, West Center. Placement office staff has scheduled office hours on the Albert Lea Campus and Owatonna College & University Center. Although appointments are encouraged, you are welcome to stop in anytime. |
