Doherty Staffing Solutions' CEO, Valerie Doherty and Chairman, Tim Doherty joined Gauher Mohammad, Vice President, Doherty Staffing Solutions, in presenting Riverland Community College with a check for $13,054.76 at the Doherty Staffing Solutions company recognition event held September 16. The company sponsored the Doherty Scholarship Golf Classic held on June 15 at the Owatonna Country Club, with 72 golfers participating in the event. The proceeds from the tournament will fund scholarships for Riverland Community College students who are residents of Steele County.
The Doherty Scholarship Golf Classic Double Eagle sponsor was Viracon. Other significant sponsors included Career Builder, Essential Staff Care, Gopher Sport, Insurance Applications Group, Owatonna Clinic, Owatonna Hospital, and Southpark Lanes. Tee sponsors included El Tequila, Innovance, Plaza Morena, Riverland Community College, and SPX.

Doherty Staffing Solutions partners with clients to attract and retain a skilled workforce, allowing them to focus on their competencies. Proceeds from the tournament fund scholarships for Riverland Community College students who are residents of Steele County. Each year, approximately 500 students graduate from Riverland Community College. Eighty percent of them stay in the area and 94 percent find jobs in various fields, including welding, machining, and forklift operations, contributing their talents to our community.
