Riverland hosts Computer Technology program open house at Owatonna College and University Center.

Riverland Community College will host an open house for students interested in exploring or enrolling in Computer Technology programs for the 2009-10 academic year. The open house will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Owatonna College and University Center (OCUC) on Wednesday, April 29.

Students, who are analytical, excel at problem-solving and trouble-shooting and enjoy the world of computers, should consider one of Riverland's constantly evolving computer technology programs. Associate degrees include Computer Technology, Network Security and Web Developer. Riverland offers a diploma program in Web Development and certificates in Cisco Certified Network Associate, Fundamentals of Network Security Fundamentals of Wireless LANS, Microsoft Systems Administrator, Microsoft Systems Engineer, Web Developer Game Design and Web Page Design. Many of the programs are offered online.

"Riverland instructors, Brenda Mandt and Richard (Doc) Andree will be available to talk to current and potential students about all the Computer programs," says Stephanie Shea, Owatonna Riverland counselor. "There will be presentations at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m."

Riverland Community College, a member of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system, is a regional comprehensive community college inspiring learning for living through a personalized educational environment. Approximately 4,000 students are served, annually, through a wide range of credit-based educational opportunities. An additional 5,600 students are annually served in non-credit courses.
