Riverland "New Directions" assists dislocated workers and others looking to advance their careers

Riverland Community College will host a series of "New Directions" workshops to assist employees who have been laid off from a job, are looking for a new career or need additional training to advance in their current field.

?New Directions? is a free session at which participants can explore ?hot jobs? opportunities in southeast Minnesota and learn about short-term training opportunities available to help secure these jobs. Participants will also learn how to finance their training/education and discover methods to balance school, family and work.

Sessions begin at 6 p.m. and are available at all three Riverland locations.

Riverland Community College Austin Campus; East Building, Room C123: Tuesdays Feb. 24, March 24, April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28.

Riverland Community College Albert Lea Campus; Skylight Room: Wednesdays Feb. 25, March 25, April 29, May 27, June 24, July 29.

Owatonna College & University Center; Room 154: Thursdays Feb. 26, March 26, April 30, May 28, June 25, July 30.
