The Riverland Community College Theatre Department presents a world premier of the drama "37 stitches," written and directed by student Shane May. The production is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, January 16 and 17 at 7:30 p.m. at the Frank W. Bridges Theatre on the Riverland Austin Campus.
According to May, "37 stiches" is a play about life on the fringe of society and reality. It is about love and loss, redemption and pain. It is art imitating life at its darkest where the gun acts as god machine wrapping up the inevitable tragic end. This production is intended for mature audiences only. Recommended for ages 16 and over due to language and violence.
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased at the Coffee House on Main in downtown Austin and at the Riverland Box Office, 507-433-0595. Box Office hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday and one hour before performances. All seats are general admission.
