Riverland offers a nursing pathway that allows students upward mobility with two possible exit points. Upon completion of the first year, students are eligible to pursue a licensed practical nurse certification. They may stop at this point or continue to a second year of education.
Upon completion of the second year of the program, students are awarded an associate degree in Nursing and will be prepared and eligible to apply for the National Council Licensure Examination - RN.
The Riverland Community College associate degree nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing and is approved by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
The Riverland Radiography program prepares students to become competent radiologic technologists. Clinical education opportunities at various health care facilities in southern Minnesota help students apply skills learned in the classroom. Students may also elect to take a mammography training course. Graduates are eligible to take the nationally recognized ARRT registry exam to become registered technologists in radiography. The program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
