Description |
Play with infants and pre-schoolers (0-5 years), sit on the floor and participate in activity as directed by the Early Childhood para educator and ABE coordinator, in order to assist children in learning social skills, trust, letter and color identification, listening skills, and developmentally appropriate physical skills; assist in settling children in order to facilitate their taking naps, assist with breakfasting. |
Skills |
Ability to lift 10-20#, bending, standing, sitting on floor, patience, effective communication and interpersonal skills with a group and/or individuals. Willing and able to learn to respond to children in a developmentally appropriate manner. Foster self-esteem in children. Experience working with children, preferred, but not required. Bilingual in Spanish and English, preferred, but not required. |
How to Apply |
If you have Work Study Eligiblity shown on your Award Letter, you would contact the Supervisor that is listed for the position you are interested in. Once you have been hired, you would go to the Financial Aid Office to pick up the Employment Agreement packet with the required documents for you to begin working. Complete the Employment Agreement packet with your supervisor and return it to the Financial Aid Office. When you return it to the Financial Aid Office, you will receive two time sheets to start working. You will also receive a Pay Schedule showing when time sheets are due to the Financial Aid Office by your Supervisor and when you get paid for those hours.
If Work Study Eligibility was not listed on your Award Letter and you are interested in working, contact the Financial Aid Office to verify your eligibility.
