Men's Tennis, (1975-77)

Kelly Tritz started playing tennis his freshman year at Austin Pacelli High School at the encouragement of his high school and college-teammate, Fred Budde. He and Budde teamed up to win the state high school doubles' championship his junior year and lost in the section finals his senior year. He attended Austin Community College from 1975-77 where he won the state junior college singles at #2 both his freshman and sophomore years. He teamed up with Fred Budde to finish second in the state doubles as a freshman and won the doubles' state championship with Budde his sophomore year. He advanced to the NJCAA national championships to participate in the doubles' competition.

Tritz credits many individuals who had a positive influence in his tennis career including; George Pulchinski, his high school coach, Dr. Fred Albert who always had time for a tennis match, Keith Paulsen who was his tennis instructor, Bill Goblirsch his first-year coach at Austin Community College and David Dickinson and Terry Dilley, his co-coaches during his sophomore year.

Tritz captained three USTA teams helping all of them finish second at nationals. He currently does not play tennis, but enjoys golf. Tritz resides in Edina, Minnesota and works for Toro in the management area. He is married to Georgia.
